In the Spring of 2020, I started experiencing discomfort in my
stomach. No matter what I did, this discomfort would not go away.
In addition to this discomfort, I was pre-diabetic, hypertensive, and I
had high cholesterol. I started experiencing tingling in my hands and
feet. Here I was a 41-year-old wife and mother of 3 children. I was
overweight, with lots of rising medical concerns, and medical bills,
due to my unhealthy diet choices. I felt like I was going to die.
My family doctor referred me to a Gastroenterologist. I was freaking
out. Now I needed a GI doctor? I thought to myself. What had I done to
my body? The Gastroenterologist requested that I do a colonoscopy
and an endoscopy, which I did, but the doctor did not discover any
concerns. However, this discomfort still persisted.
